We outline what costs need to be considered for your Bristol Bouldering session in this article.
Day Pass Pricing
Adults pay around £10-£14 for a day pass at a Bristol bouldering wall. For this is usually for a single day but allows for unlimited attempts on all walls throughout the day.
Off-Peak and Peak Sessions
It is a pound or two cheaper for sessions during off-peak hours (weekdays before 4pm/5pm) so off-peak sessions are cheapest while still offering the best quality for money.
First-Visit Packages
First-timers can sometimes get an introductory rate which can include the price of the session, a basic induction and sometimes even hire of some basic climbing shoes for the session. For Bouldering Bristol, see https://www.270climbing.com/bouldering/bristol/.
Shoe Hire and Chalk
Hiring of shoes for bouldering costs around £3-4 per session. Buying chalk and chalk costs around the same for a small chalk bag, or loose chalk.
Membership Versus Pay-As-You-Go
The cost of a membership will normally work out to around £30-50 per month to cover your costs, but below that frequency of use, a day pass will work out to cover the cost of your visit.
Family and Concession Rates
Under 16s, students, and people on benefits are usually charged at a reduced rate. We recommend checking out the pricing for the specific wall you are looking to visit before booking and arriving at the wall.
All you need to do is prepare for your session, and then off you go for a great bouldering session without any worries!
