There are a number of things that you will want to think about when picking the perfect interview clothing and there are a few things for you to consider:

  • Professional – it is important that you look professional for your interview. This is one of the many reasons that people often wear a suit jacket and men tend to opt for tailored trousers and women choose between trousers and a smart dress or skirt and top.

  • Comfort – as well as looking professional you will want to make sure that you are comfortable. If you are constantly adjusting your clothing this will become distracting in the interview both for yourself and the people conducting the interview.
  • Business Type – depending on the job that you are attending an interview for and the kind of work that you are hoping to be doing, you might want to adjust what you wear. You can always ask the company if there is a business dress code and you can then wear clothing that will be appropriate to fit with this.

Ultimately your best option is to wear something that is professional and that makes you feel confident so you can concentrate on answering the interview questions as best you can.
